DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Over the past few months, home studios like this were humming with bands getting ready for the Christmas by the Lake CD.

“This is Talk of the Town with Tracy and friends,” said Tracy Lundeen during one of his radio shows.

Tracy Lundeen is now known for his Saturday radio show on KDAL.

In the 70’s he was with Quickbreath, perhaps the hottest band in town.

“We were only the hottest band because we played a lot of cover music and we were funny,” said Lundeen.

Today, Lundeen runs the Bluebird Foundation, which was named after his mother’s fondness for bluebirds.

“We give grants and scholarships to high school-aged kids in the performing arts,” said Lundeen.

One of the biggest fundraisers for those scholarships is the annual Christmas by the Lake CD.
