Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused Kyiv’s European allies of undermining U.S.-led attempts to end the nearly four-year war in Ukraine.
“They don’t have a peace agenda, they’re on the side of the war,” Putin said on Tuesday after speaking at an investment forum and before meeting a U.S. delegation in the Kremlin. The delegation was led by envoy Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
Putin’s remarks appeared aimed at creating friction between Trump and European countries, while absolving Moscow of responsibility for stalled negotiations.
