A GP surgery in Wallsend has been rated outstanding for the second time by the Care Quality Commission after an inspection in August. The Village Green Surgery in North Tyneside delivers services to around 12,500 people in the region.
The inspection was carried out as part of the CQC’s continual checks on the safety and quality of primary and community care services. They have rated the practice as outstanding for being effective, caring and responsive, and rated good for being safe and well-led.
Inspectors found that results from the recent National GP Patient Survey and NHS Friends and Family Test showed people are happy with the service, and that the practice has established strong relationships
