Auburn defensive coordinator and former interim head coach DJ Durkin is staying put on The Plains.

Former South Florida head coach Alex Golesh took the Tigers' top job on Sunday, officially filling the spot following Hugh Freeze's firing four weeks ago.

It was unclear during Golesh's first press conference as head coach whether or not the program planned to keep Durkin on board following his brief stint at the helm. He led the Tigers to a dominant win over Mercer and close losses against Vanderbilt and Alabama to finish out the season.
