Manchester City closed the gap on Premier League leaders Arsenal to just two points after edging out Fulham in a nine-goal thriller at Craven Cottage .

Pep Guardiola's side raced into a three-goal lead in the first half as Erling Haaland, Tijani Reijnders and Phil Foden found the net inside the opening 45 minutes. Although Emile Smith Rowe pulled one back for Fulham, Foden scored his second and City's fourth just after the break before Sander Berge's own-goal made it 5-1.

At this point, it felt as though the game was over and City could stroll to a fourth win in five top-flight matches.
