PREVIOUS STORY: First District Commissioners Jeff Howard and Dustin Lankford are hosting a community meeting tonight to discuss the financial strain the county’s current jail situation is placing on taxpayers.
The meeting includes an open forum for residents to share concerns and ideas for reducing costs while maintaining safety and accountability. Commissioners are also outlining possible next steps.
The meeting is underway at the First District Community Center.
