INDIANAPOLIS — Uber driver Francisco Valadez will plead guilty to murder and serve a 45-year prison sentence under a plea agreement for the shooting death of 30-year-old Chanti Dixon in September 2024.

Dixon had ordered an Uber after she got off work around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8. Her family reported her missing the next day.

Detectives found the Uber driver's info and later identified him as Valadez, who they found at a home on Aristocrat Circle on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

Detectives say Valadez admitted to shooting Dixon in the head while he was trying to have sex with her in the back of his car. Valadez claims a comment Dixon said made him mad, so he allegedly admitted to shooting her.
