PORTLAND, Ore. — A $70 million investment aimed at rebuilding Portland’s historic Albina neighborhood is moving forward, with new details and renderings released Tuesday on the sweeping redevelopment plan.

The two locations in the spotlight currently are Albina Riverside, where the old grain silos still stand along the banks of the Willamette; and the Low End, which can be found along the western edge of Russell Street.

This rebuilding of the historically Black Albina neighborhood revolves around supporting more businesses and increasing jobs, affordable housing, creative spaces, places for children to learn and thrive, and other community-focused uses.
