CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- A new global clinical trial is underway at the University of Virginia Health System, testing a potential treatment for COVID-19.
The study focuses on a drug made from antibodies collected from people who have recovered from COVID-19 and later received a COVID-19 vaccine. Researchers say the therapy builds on passive-immunity strategies by delivering a highly concentrated dose of protective antibodies.
