A suburban Hanover Park police officer who was arrested by federal immigration agents earlier this year has returned to the force full-time, authorities said.
Officer Radule Bojovic, who originally immigrated to the U.S. from Montenegro, was arrested in October as part of Operation Midway Blitz. Federal officials previously said his B2 tourist visa expired in March 2015.
The Hanover Park Police Department said Monday Bojovic returned to full-duty status, and his first shift back was on Sunday. The officer will receive back pay for the time he was on leave.
In an October press release, Hanover Park officials said Bojovic was hired in January 2025 after the village confirmed that he was legally authorized by the federal government to work in the U.S.
