The Emmy-winning drama "Mad Men" made its 4K debut on HBO Max this week, but the highly anticipated launch came with unexpected behind-the-scenes glimpses that fans weren't supposed to see.
Viewers quickly spotted glaring editing errors in the new 4K transfer, most notably in a Season 1 scene where crew members could be clearly seen feeding fake vomit into a machine during Roger Sterling's infamous oyster incident.
The error appears in the episode "Red in the Face," in which Sterling, played by John Slattery, becomes violently ill after a boozy lunch. In the flawed HBO Max version, two production crew members are visible at the edge of the frame operating equipment to create the vomiting effect.
