LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) - A bomb threat was reported at Liberty University Tuesday, December 2, according to Liberty University Security & Public Safety.

The university says the threat was reported at the large traffic circle near Williams Stadium and to avoid the area.

Lynchburg Police says the call came in at 10:09 p.m., and they set up a command center at Thomas Road Baptist Church. Many streets are blocked off to stop students from coming through the area, according to police.

The person who called in about the threat is helping authorities because of something suspected in the bushes, according to police.

No one is in custody at this time.
