FAYETTEVILLE -- The community will have to wait at least a bit longer for a decision on the proposed site of a new Ramay Junior High School.

The City Council opted again to take no action on the requested rezoning of the site following a second almost three-hour conversation.

The item will be considered again at the council's next meeting at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 16.

The council first heard the rezoning request Nov. 18 but took no action following over three hours of conversation and public comment.

Fayetteville School District officials requested the future Ramay site be rezoned from residential single-family up to four units per acre and urban corridor to institutional. The property totals about 26.7 acres.
