The Yorkton Terriers saw their three-game win streak come to an end Tuesday night, picking up a single point in a 3–2 overtime loss to the Weyburn Red Wings.
Yorkton opened the scoring just 19 seconds in, when Vinay Junek buried his sixth of the year past Nate Stevens for a quick 1–0 lead. Weyburn evened the game late in the first as Luke Schraeder’s point shot found its way through a screen, sending the teams to the intermission tied 1–1.
In the second, Aidan Vallance restored the Terriers’ lead on the power play, jamming in a rebound for his fifth of the season. But the Red Wings answered again before the period was out—this time it was Dion Schraeder, who shoveled home his first SJHL goal after a crease scramble to make it 2–2 through 40 minutes.
