MACOMB TWP. – Macomb Dakota’s boys basketball team is hoping that experience can carry the Cougars to heights they haven’t reached since a run of three straight Macomb Area Conference Red Division titles from 2019-22.
“We can do a lot of things,” said Dakota coach Paul Tocco after his team opened the season Tuesday with a 75-29 win against Sterling Heights Stevenson in a MAC crossover game. “We can do a lot of things defensively. We can do a lot of things offensively. We’re more mentally prepared than a lot of teams that don’t have that experience.
