LOGAN – You’d think that watching people bang on everyday objects would get old after a while, but that didn’t happen during the electrifying performance of the national touring show STOMP at the Ellen Eccles Theatre on Dec. 2.
Of course, STOMP is much more than just a riot of noisy percussion. It’s as thrilling as watching an a cappella choir or a precision drill team do their thing.
STOMP is much louder than either of those familiar groups, however, with intense choreography and pantomime comedy thrown in.
The wonder of it all is that the talented performers who made up the cast of the percussive sensation at the Eccles Theatre actually produced melodies and rhythms in a show that was raucous good fun and wonderfully entertaining.
