A UK rain bomb is set to turn to snow in FOUR counties, it has been warned, as weather maps show the conditions turning dramatic in England and Scotland. As many as 93 counties face a wall of rain, maps from WX Charts show.

The maps show huge patches of rain forming across the UK's 93 counties, but worryingly, the rain could turn to the white stuff, according to Met Desk data. Areas at risk include Cumbria, Durham, Northumberland and Lancashire.

From Friday afternoon onwards, a wall of rain will hit England, with the showers turning increasingly wintry across the North East and North West.
