“Stranger Things” fans are very confused about Holly Wheeler’s age.

In season 1 of the Netflix series, Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin) referred to Holly as Mike’s (Finn Wolfhard) 3-year-old little sister. Season 1 was set in the fall of 1983, four years before the events of season 5. Holly is supposed to be 9 or 10 in season 5 of “Stranger Things,” but according to the show’s timeline, she should be 7.

All the other “Stranger Things” characters have aged four years over the course of the show. Mike, Lucas, Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo), Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), and Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) were 12 during season 1, and they’re 16 during season 5. Yet Holly went from 3 to 9 or 10, and the actress playing her is even older.
