HOUGHTON — The Houghton Gremlins battled hard, but ultimately came up short in a 74-70 loss at home against the Dollar Bay-Tamarack City Blue Bolts to open the season Monday at the Houghton gym.

Baron Colbert racked up 26 points to lead the Blue Bolts to the win. Liam Tourtillott added 18.

For Houghton, Terrence Nolan was outstanding, racking up a game-high 31 points. Mason Mayo added 14.
