The legal drama was on a pre-planned hiatus while the first part of season 2 aired, and PEOPLE previously reported that Del Rio will be written out of upcoming episodes

Leah Lewis is back to work on the set of Matlock.

On Monday, Dec. 1, the 28-year-old actress revealed that the CBS drama has resumed filming season 2 following David Del Rio’s dismissal from the show in October. In a photo posted to her Instagram Stories, Lewis smiled in front of a trailer while dressed as her character, lawyer Sarah Franklin, in a button-up blouse and tie.
