FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - The man hospitalized after a shooting Tuesday night in downtown Fort Wayne has died, according to police.
The Fort Wayne Police Department says officers responded to the Amoco gas station at 437 E. Washington Blvd. around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday. In the parking lot, officers found a man with gunshot wounds.
Medics took the man to a hospital in life-threatening condition. Early Wednesday, police confirmed the victim later died from his injuries.
Police also confirmed that a suspect, Domonique Drew, 34, was arrested during a traffic stop at S. Clinton St. and E. Jefferson Blvd. around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Drew was booked into the Allen County Jail early on Wednesday. He faces a preliminary charge of murder and is held without bond.
