A new vaccine being developed for whooping cough could offer better protection and stop the virus spreading, scientists said. Whooping cough can be deadly and spreads very easily between people.
The NHS says it is "important for babies, children and anyone who's pregnant to get vaccinated against it" and babies under 12 months old with whooping cough have an increased chance of having problems including breathing difficulties and seizures.
