Saline quarterback Tommy Carr comes from a family of quarterbacks. His his brother CJ is the starter at Notre Dame; his father, Jason, was a Michigan quarterback; his grandfather, Lloyd Carr, played quarterback at Riverview High, then Missouri and Northern Michigan and eventually became the Michigan head coach inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

But there’s another piece to the genetic puzzle, and that’s Tom Curtis, Tommy’s grandfather, who was an All-American defensive back at Michigan in 1969 and still has the program’s career and single-season records for interceptions.
