MARION -- The Little Rock Christian Warriors signed up to play some high-profile nonconference games this season to get ready for a state championship run.

Halfway through Tuesday night's game at Marion's Fidelity Bank Arena, the Warriors found exactly what they wanted, a big game in a hostile environment.

But in the third quarter, the Warriors hit the jets, led by as many as 21 points and held the Patriots at bay in the fourth quarter for an 85-72 victory.

"We told our guys that many people will not win here," Little Rock Christian Coach Tyler Wayman said. "For us, I'm really proud of how unselfish we were. We shared the ball, and when guys got chances, they knocked down some big shots."
