The head of the Department for Work and Pensions has issued a stern caution to all 24 million individuals receiving benefits. Pat McFadden, the chief of DWP , has not dismissed the possibility of further reductions, setting the stage for a potential decrease in the benefits bill under a Labour Party government.

Addressing a cross-party committee, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions , Pat McFadden, informed MPs that he was "not ruling out anything". He stated: "I have only been in the job for three months, and if I start ruling things out it will just close doors in the future, so I am not ruling anything out,".
