CLEVELAND, Ohio — For the third straight season, Columbus Bishop Watterson and Toledo Central Catholic will battle at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium for the OHSAA Division III state title, with each team having won one of the previous two matchups.

Last season, Watterson defeated Central Catholic 19-14 after Central Catholic had won the 2023 meeting, 27-7.

Round three is Friday at 3 p.m.

“It felt like the two of us have been on the collision course since the day after that game last year,” said Watterson head coach Brian Kennedy.

Watterson enters the game undefeated at 13-0 after running the table with a perfect 16-0 record last season and has outscored its opponents 607-89, including 188-15 in the postseason.
