To make Tatkal ticket booking more foolproof, the Railway Ministry has announced that Tatkal ticket booking will now require OTP verification at the reservations counters. This new system aims to stop agents from misusing the facility. Passengers will receive an OTP on their mobile number provided in the form. Ticket confirmation depends on successful OTP verification.
