COHASSET, Mass. —
A Holbrook, Massachusetts, man was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly driving drunk and speeding with two small children in the car.
Milton Duarte, 34, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor (his third offense), operating under the influence of alcohol with a suspended license, child endangerment while operating under the influence, speeding, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and failure to properly restrain children under 12.
According to Cohasset police, Duarte was traveling 61 mph in a posted 35 mph zone around 1:18 a.m. when he initially failed to stop for officers, crossing over the town line into Scituate.
He pulled over on Chief Justice Cushing Highway near Booth Hill Road.
