Tuesday night, the Town of Addison decided to keep its partnership with DART. Addison town leaders held a special meeting to decide whether the issue would go to a vote in May. This comes after four other North Texas cities decided to put their DART memberships on the ballot.

It was a long meeting and a packed one, with dozens of people signing up to speak – the majority of them here asking Addison city leaders not to put DART on the ballot to pull out of its partnership. Those people left the meeting pleased with the council’s vote.

Madison McNair made it to Tuesday’s meeting in Addison the same way she gets into town any other day.

“I used public transportation. I was in Downtown Dallas earlier today, and I hopped on a couple of buses, and I hopped on over,” said Madison.
