A driver is dead after a road rage altercation turned into a violent shooting on Wednesday morning, according to the Seminole County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said they arrived on scene around 1 a.m. at the 1700 block of Rutledge Road in unincorporated Longwood.
The SCSO said two armed drivers became involved in an altercation, during which one of them fired into the other driver’s vehicle, causing a crash.
The injured driver died at the scene. He was identified as 51-year-old Manuel Alejandro Rosado of Longwood, according to deputies.
Detectives indicated that the driver who died aimed his gun at the shooter first, causing the shooter to draw his weapon and fire multiple rounds in response.
SCSO said the shooter immediately called 911 and remained on scene until deputies arrived. He
