Monty Panesar and Australia captain Steve Smith have been exchanging words as England aim to win the Ashes

Former England star Monty Panesar has responded to comments made by Australia captain Steve Smith ahead of the Ashes. Panesar and Smith exchanged words before the First Test in Perth last month, which saw the visitors lose within two days.

Ben Stokes and Co. suffered an eight-wicket defeat at the Optus Stadium, and have now made the trip to Brisbane for the Second Test at The Gabba. Before the opening match of the series, Panesar advised England to use the infamous ball-tampering scandal from 2018 to make Australia "feel guilty" and give the tourists an advantage.
