Georgia football will replenish its roster when the early signing period begins on Wednesday.

It’s not ideal timing for a program that is preparing for Saturday’s SEC Championship game against Alabama.

The day before signing day 5-star quarterback Jared Curtis flipped from Georgia to Vanderbilt.

Curtis announced he will sign on Wednesday morning. His defection knocked Georgia from No. 2 to No. 6 in the 247Sports Composite rankings. The Bulldogs have 28 commitments without him in the class.

Georgia JUCO offensive tackle commitment Jarmaine Mitchell also flipped to Arizona State on Tuesday.
