Millions of UK households will be planning their expensive Christmas food shop in the next couple of weeks, and ahead of it, the cheapest place to pick their haul up has been revealed.
Previously, Lidl secured the title, but in 2025 its biggest rival has reclaimed the honour.
According to consumer champion, Which?, Lidl won the crown in July and again in October, but for November, bargain giant Aldi was once again the most affordable option.

Which? compared a basket of 70 popular items to find out which supermarket is the most expensive.
The list of 70 items included branded and store-brand groceries, such as Hovis sliced bread, milk, cheese, potatoes and baked beans.
