An Emmerdale icon has revealed their frustration over not being a part of the upcoming Coronation Street crossover episode.

Early next year, for the first time in British soap history, an hour-long episode dubbed Corriedale will see characters from both soaps come together in a celebration of the genre.

The special instalment, to air in January, will have "everlasting consequences for everyone involved", and the two shows' universes in Manchester and Yorkshire have been linked in an "ingenious way".

Details of the episode have been kept tightly under wraps but so far
