5Shoplifters busted in two separate Back Bay thefts as officers make quick arrests
Boston, MA — Two suspects were arrested in separate shoplifting incidents just a day apart in Boston’s Back Bay, after officers from District D-4 responded quickly to retail theft reports at Dick’s Sporting Goods and the Prudential Center.
The first arrest happened around 12:20 p.m. on Friday when officers were called to Dick’s Sporting Goods at 760 Boylston Street. Store staff reported that earlier in the day, a man had loaded a tennis bag with merchandise and left it inside the store before walking out. A few hours later, the same individual returned to retrieve the concealed items and attempted to walk out with the stolen goods.
