High pressure nudging into the region will keep the Portland/Vancouver area dry Wednesday after patchy morning fog. But it won’t last long.
The National Weather Service expects any fog to be gone by about noon. High clouds will linger longer, but we could see a few sun breaks later in the day. Portland’s high will reach about 48 degrees.
If you have things to do outdoors, Wednesday is your best bet as rain from the first in a string of systems is expected to arrive in the metro area overnight and continue well into the weekend.
The weather service is tracking a series of upper level shortwaves and their attending frontal systems that will be the main drivers of wet weather through early next week.
