The debate over the effectiveness of working from home continues.

On “ The Gee and Ursula Show ” on KIRO Newsradio, co-host Gee Scott questioned whether remote workers are as honest about their hours as employers believe.

“When you leave on a Friday, are you counting that as a work day if you’re working from home Fridays and Mondays? Gee asked. “If you take off on Friday, are you taking a vacation day, or are you just saying I’m going to keep working as I make my way to the airport?”

Some remote employees say they make up the hours throughout the week. Others admit they work from the plane, from the gate, or from a beachside Airbnb. Most quietly treat Fridays and Mondays as flexible buffers, assuming nobody will notice as long as the work gets done.
