Several inches of snow stacked up across the Denver area overnight, and more is on the way, according to the National Weather Service.
As of 5 a.m. Wednesday, 2.3 inches of snow had been reported at Denver International Airport, and 2 to 4 inches had accumulated across the rest of the metro area, weather service meteorologist Zach Hiris said.
The northwestern metro area, including Arvada, saw closer to 4 to 6 inches stack up overnight, Hiris said.

Another 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected Wednesday across most of the Denver area, and another 4 to 7 inches is forecast for the foothills, Hiris said.
