A dad who picked up his son for the last time didn't expect the flood of emotions that followed.
Before Colby Guzman turned 15, his dad, Eric, reflected on how quickly the years had passed by. He told his wife he was mourning the parts of Colby’s childhood he’d never experience again. Her advice? Pick him up one more time. “You decide when the last time is,” she said.
With a camera rolling, Eric prepared to lift Colby for one final time – before his son got too big to carry.
“When I started to explain what I wanted, the realization that this was going to be the last ‘uppy’ hit me hard,” Eric said. “I teared up and had to pause while speaking.”

“That hug was intense,” Eric said. “It was a mutual expression of love.”
“This moment represented unconditional love and confirmed that even though I’m raising a young man, he’ll always be my little boy at heart,” he said.
