Gov. Maura Healey is pushing back against the Trump Administration 's threat to withhold SNAP funding from Democratic-controlled states starting next week, calling it "truly appalling."

The United States Department of Agriculture secretary, Brooke Rollins, issued a warning Tuesday at the White House Cabinet meeting, saying next will they will hold the benefit money to states led by democrats unless those states provided information about people receiving the assistance. Democratic states have sued to block the requirement.
