With a housing boom across Tennessee, there is a growing need for industries that support the construction of desperately needed housing and other construction projects.

Land surveying is one of those fields that is keeping busy as lots are subdivided and new developments get planned, and earlier in November the Morristown Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting for Field 2 Finish Land Surveying LLC.

“I’ve worked on master plan communities, that include 80-lots-plus subdivisions with multiple phases,” owner/operator Daniel Piel said. “I’ve worked in green street design, which is anything that slows down traffic. (My work experience has taken me through) six countries, 17 states… so I’d like to think I’ve come across most of what I’m going to find here in East Tennessee.
