HINDMAN, Ky. (WYMT) - Two people were taken to the hospital after a collision involving a marked Kentucky State Police cruiser Tuesday evening in Knott County.
Troopers say the crash happened at approximately 5:19 p.m. on KY-80 in the Hindman community. A patrol vehicle, driven by Anthony Bersaglia, was traveling eastbound when it struck the rear bumper of a passenger car also headed eastbound. Bersaglia was reportedly driving from Post 13 to his garage for maintenance on the cruiser.
The driver of that car, Debroah Wallen, and a juvenile passenger were taken to Hazard ARH with possible minor injuries. Bersaglia was not hurt.
KSP says the crash remains under investigation and is being reconstructed.
