Winter storms bring third-snowiest November in Marquette area

November marked the third-snowiest on record for the Marquette area, according to the Marquette National Weather Service office.

The local station in Negaunee Township, just west of Marquette, recorded 48.8 inches of snow throughout the month, the third-highest total for November since snowfall reports began at the location in 1959, the weather agency reported.
