RANKIN COUNTY — Multiple law enforcement agencies were on the campus of the Piney Woods School Tuesday afternoon as investigators executed search warrants in connection with an ongoing homicide case, though authorities have not said what information they believe the school may have.

By about 3:10 p.m., officers from several agencies were seen on campus. Darkhorse Press confirmed that search warrants were being served, and Byram police later said the operation was tied to the investigation into the death of William Boland.

Police stressed there was no emergency at the school.
