Former NBA center Elden Campbell, who spent 15 years in the league, has died. He was 57.

Campbell's death was first reported by the Los Angeles Times, which said the cause of death was unknown at this time.

Campbell was a key reserve on the 2003-04 Detroit Pistons' title team that upset the Los Angeles Lakers in the Finals and an unsung hero in Game 1 . He was also on the 2004-05 team that lost in seven games in the Finals to the San Antonio Spurs , playing in 24 playoff games between those two seasons.
