A retailer has stepped in to save a British high street homeware chain which collapsed after months of mounting losses. Home interiors brand Fired Earth fell into administration in November , making 133 of its employees redundant and shutting down 26 shops.
However, Topps Tiles has now snapped up the brand’s name, online business and approximately £2.5 million worth of stock in a £3 million rescue deal - offering fresh hope to the chain.
Topps said the premium brand brings a valuable boost to its digital and upmarket offering - a chance to reel in homeowners and trade customers chasing style and subs
