An "outstanding" family-run Suffolk silk mill is celebrating UK businesses' highest honour.
Sudbury Silk Mills was presented with a King’s Award for Enterprise for its sustainable development at a ceremony last month.
Lord-Lieutenant of Suffolk Lady Clare Euston presented it to the £10m turnover company on behalf of the King on November 21.
The 300-year-old, 10th generation firm - which is run by managing director Julius Walters and employs about 90 staff - "is held in the greatest possible affection and respect", said Lady Clare.
The mill makes 20,000 different custom-woven fabrics every year for diverse purposes.
Notable clients include the royal household - for which it has made silks for royal weddings and coronation robs and the interior fabric for the late Queen’s Diamond Jubile
