The BMC has asked citizens have been advised not to go close to the coastline during the tide timings due to the risk of strong waves and possible accidents

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation ( BMC ) on Wednesday issued a public advisory urging citizens to stay away from the seashore as high tides are expected for three consecutive days between December 4 and 7, 2025.

According to BMC’s Disaster Management Department, waves higher than 4.5 metres will hit the Mumbai coastline during the period. Read More

The highest tide is expected on December 6, 2025, at 12:39 am, when waves may reach up to 5.03 metres.
