The Wolverines officially have their second quarterback of the 2026 class locked in, as four-star Brady Smigiel has signed with Michigan Football. • Height: 6-foot-5 • Weight: 205 • Hometown: Newbury Park, California • Ranking (247 composite): No. 343 overall, No. 23 QB, No. 32 California

Smigiel wasn’t supposed to be the main quarterback target, as the Wolverines originally had four-star Brady Hart committed to the class before he re-classified and signed with Texas A&M at this time last year. Chip Lindsey and company recruited multiple players at the position, but ultimately circled back to Smigiel, who was once committed to Florida State but decided to reopen his recruitment back in January. He committed to Michigan in April and took his official visit to Ann Arbor in June.
