TOLEDO, Ohio — The National Museum of the Great Lakes is debuting a new, temporary exhibit focused on wooden and antique boats.

"Frozen in Time: A Wooden and Antique Boat Showcase" opens in the museum's Temporary Exhibit Gallery beginning Dec. 5, according to a press release from the museum. The exhibit will show visitors "the craftsmanship, beauty and culture" of wooden and antique vessels. This includes a selection of both historic and newly hand-built watercraft. Vessels like an Indigenous canoe design to wooden cruisers highlight an important period in maritime history.
